LEED Program Documentation

Through our commitment to environmental responsibility, we provide the required documentation for tracking recycling under the various recycling regimes including LEED and STEP. We provide online reporting and documentation to our clients and have been able to surpass our clients’ recycling goals.

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System® encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.

LEED is a third-party certification program and an internationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high-performance green buildings. It provides building owners and operators the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their buildings’ performance.

LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health:

sustainable site development
water efficiency
energy efficiency
materials selection
indoor environmental quality

Credits and Prerequisites are organized into these five categories. An additional category, focusing on innovation, addresses sustainable building expertise, exemplary performance, and design (or operational) measures not covered under these five environmental categories.

Environmental Responsibility

At Peak we strive to minimize the environmental footprint by recycling waste wherever possible. We achieve over 80% diversion from land fill sites with waste originating from construction sites. We are committed to reducing the impact on the environment, therefore; we will attempt to recycle when possible.

Regardless of whether a project requires recycling or not we will always take your waste to a licensed facility that recycles the waste that they receive.

We have the ability to sort waste at source by providing separate bins for the following when possible.

Drywall
Concrete
Wood
Cardboard
Metal

For mixed construction waste we have made a conscious decision to divert the maximum possible waste from the landfill by taking the waste to a recycler. The facility that we use recovers in excess of 75% of the waste we impart. This reduces what goes into our land fills and reduces the environmental footprint left by our clients.
